Robert Ehrman, MD, MS, FACEP, FASE is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Yale-New Have Hospital and a Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. He is a testamur of the Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (ASCeXAM) from the National Board of Echocardiography, and director of Emergency Ultrasound Research at Wayne State School of Medicine. He is an expert in point-of care-echocardiography, with research focused on the use of heart and lung ultrasound in sepsis. He has received research funding from NIGMS, SAEMF, and multiple industry contracts. He has collaborated on multiple studies involving echocardiography and lung ultrasound in acute heart failure, with funding from NHLBI, NIMHD, and the Emergency Medicine Foundation.
