Dr. Tamam Mohamad is an accomplished interventional cardiologist with specialized training from Wayne State University. He obtained his medical degree in 2003 from Damascus University's School of Medicine and pursued further education through an Internal Medicine Residency and a cardiology fellowship at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Mohamad holds the esteemed position of Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He currently serves as the co-director of the PERT program at Detroit Medical Center. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mohamad serves as the Director of Professional Career Development at DMC/WSU Internal Medicine, providing invaluable guidance and mentorship to aspiring medical professionals.
Dr. Mohamad's expertise lies in the fields of cardiology, interventional cardiology, and vascular/endovascular medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, specializing in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, venous and lymphatic disease, as well as vascular ultrasound. He also achieved board certification in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and holds the distinction of being a Diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
