Jimmy Chien, BMED PhD FRACP (he/him/his)

Associate Professor Jimmy Chien is a senior staff specialist in the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Westmead Hospital, and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, Australia. He is the clinical lead for the Westmead Hospital Pulmonary Embolism Response Team which was the first Pulmonary Embolism Response Team established in Australia. The Westmead team were the first in Australasia to publish outcome data from their PERT , and the Westmead Team maintains leadership in Australia with a strong focus on advocacy, training, and education for management of Pulmonary Thromboembolism. Associate Professor Chien, on behalf of his team at Westmead hospital, are very appreciate of the opportunity to join fellow friends and colleagues at the PERT Symposium.
