I serve as the Director of the Centers for Lungs and Breathing and Medical Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Center at the University of Colorado. The Pulmonary Vascular Disease Center at the University of Colorado is one of the longest standing and largest Pulmonary Hypertension programs in the country. My laboratory’s research interests revolve around the mechanisms of development, the diagnosis and the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and Pulmonary Embolism. A major focus of my work is the identification and assessment of novel biomarkers for the assessment and risk stratification of pulmonary vascular disease inclduing pulmonary embolism. I help initiate and serve as medical director of PERT, PTE and BPA programs and severe as medical director of our CTEPH program.
