My research in pulmonary embolism has focused on optimizing management strategies through clinical trials, advanced imaging methodologies, and comprehensive systems-based approaches with significant contributions to the literature on topics such as VTE management in pregnancy, contemporary approaches to acute PE, and the safety and efficacy of mechanical thrombectomy devices for PE. As a site Principal Investigator for the STORM-PE trial and a National Co-Principal Investigator for the Symphony-PE trial, I have contributed to redefining treatment paradigms for intermediate-risk PE. Additionally, I have co-authored the American Heart Association consensus statement on disparities in PE outcomes and have actively participated in the development of PE-RADS, a standardized reporting framework designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and clinical management.
