Dr. Monteleone is the Director of Cardiovascular Research for Ascension Healthcare nationally. He is also the program director for the interventional cardiology fellowship program at the University of Texas at Austin Dell School of medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency training and served as a chief resident at the University of Virginia. He also obtained a master’s degree in clinical research while at UVA. He completed cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He completed interventional cardiology fellowship as well as advanced fellowship training in vascular medicine and intervention at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Monteleone served as faculty at the University of Virginia and the Massachusetts General Hospital prior to moving to Austin and joining the faculty at Dell Medical School. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as a fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
