Lauren Westafer, DO, MPH, MS (she/her) is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Healthcare Delivery and Population Science at UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate where she serves as Director of the Emergency Medicine Research Fellowship. Dr. Westafer is co-founder of the Emergency Medicine podcast, FOAMcast, which provides a critical appraisal of relevant topics and an NIH-funded researcher focusing on implementation science, pulmonary embolism, and substance use disorders.
