John Moriarty, MD, FSIR (he/him/his)

Dr John Moriarty is the current President of the PERT Consortium. He is a specialist in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at UCLA. He is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the departments of Radiology and of Medicine (Cardiology) and serves as the Vice Chair (Clinical Research) of the Department of Radiological Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Moriarty is a national leader in the field of venous thromboembolism, DVT, PE and clot management.

The major focus of his clinical and research practice has been on venous and pulmonary arterial disease. He has been the national principal investigator of several large multi center trials, published over 90 peer reviewed manuscripts, over 200 abstracts and book chapters. Furthermore he has given over 200 national and international lectures.
